Bilingual QA Tester - Spanish

Konami Digital Entertainment Localization team is currently looking for a Native Spanish speaking bilingual QA Tester based in the Greater Los Angeles area.

The QA Tester will do linguistic and functional QA testing for the Castilian and Latin American Spanish versions of our games.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform QA tests checking text for context relevancy, content consistency, grammar and spelling in game and printed materials
  • Translate and proofread marketing materials, game assets, and other reports as needed
  • Follow through on bug tracking and regression testing as directed by Project Lead
  • Provide feedback to ensure that the content and quality of all documents for creative services and external publishers such as manuals, strategy guides and advertisements correspond with the most current localized assets

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to read, write & speak Castilian / Latin American Spanish & English fluently
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Detailed-orientated and organized
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work with various personality types and work styles in a multicultural environment
  • Team player with great communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous testing and translation experience
  • Knowledge of Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game and anime series products
  • Understanding of the software test cycle process and video games in general
  • Working knowledge of QA methodology, terminology and tools

Customer Service Representative (TCG/GS)

Customer Service Representatives are service specialists who support Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. customers with issues via multiple channels. Through problem identification, troubleshooting, education, and resolution, CSRs are required to provide innovative and exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is a passionate gamer with customer service experience and who is organized, self-motivated and has excellent communication skills.

Please note that applicants must be able to work additional (overtime) hours and weekends as needed. This is a contract position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first contact resolution to customers via phone, chat, and email.
  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to customer inquiries, questions and requests.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all KONAMI products; including but not exclusive to, our mobile, social, trading card and console titles.
  • Display a professional, positive, and enthusiastic demeanor to employees and customers.
  • Take personal ownership of customer requests and maintain accountability for follow-through.
  • Escalate or refer customer issues through the proper channels.
  • Filing and other administrative type duties.
  • Assist in Knowledge Base/FAQ maintenance and creation
  • Assist in training programs for new staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong computer and internet experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Experience working with confidential customer account information.
  • Strong motivation and high level of commitment.
  • Comfortable using telephone related hardware and software.

  • QA and/or Tech Support experience.

PREFERRED:

  • 1 year or more of Sales Support or Customer Support experience in a call center environment.

Event Manager (TCG)

KEY DUTIES:

  • Lead and executes all aspects of tradeshow participation, including shipping, booth design, graphics, presentations, A/V, collateral, meeting rooms, transportation, hotel accommodations, staff schedule and badges.
  • Work directly with Sales, Brand, Organized Play and Production teams to ensure that all event needs are met. The Event Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, KONAMI, and Card Business Division objectives are well-represented and fulfilled at each show.
  • Manage tradeshow/event budget and assist the Organized Play team with their budget and ensure all invoices and actual expenditures reports are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Direct production agencies and event vendors with the coordination and execution of all pre- and post-event logistics.
  • Act as the key point of contact for on-site event needs, such as staff schedules and overseeing volunteers.
  • Assist the Organized Play team with all aspects of premier-level OP tournaments, including but not limited to space negotiation, hotel blocks, and design of tournament area, as needed.
  • Coordinate all travel for company staff, volunteers and VIPs, as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead all pre- and post-event meetings, reports and event recaps.
  • Track promotional item inventory and work directly with vendors and corporate management on idea generation, item design, quotation, order placement, and quality approval of premium items for business use and tradeshow promotions.
  • Work on creative ways for new user acquisition at events.
  • Gather research data at events to measure effectiveness of event promotion and general marketing strategies.
  • Help maintain and propose ideas for social media initiatives
  • Assist senior management as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in events.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision. S/he should not need detailed instruction to achieve objectives. Personal initiative and sound business judgment required to identify, evaluate and respond to event needs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of or the willingness to learn the workings of Card Business TCGs, including gameplay.
  • A high level of detail orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Professional, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work with various personality types and work styles in a multicultural environment.
  • Print production experience is a plus.
  • Expert with MS office suite (Power Point, Excel, Word).
