Customer Service Representative - Spanish / Bilingual (Technical and Warranty)

Customer Service Representatives are service specialists who support Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. customers with issues via phone, chat, and the support portal. Through problem identification, troubleshooting, education, and resolution, CSRs are required to provide innovative and exceptional customer handling.

The ideal candidate is an experienced customer service representative who is very organized, self-motivated, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Shift hours and days may vary. Please note that applicants must be able to work additional (overtime) hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and review departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide first contact resolution of customer issues via phone, chat, and email.
  • Respond timely and accurately to customer inquiries, questions and requests.
  • Take personal ownership of customer requests and maintain accountability for follow-through.
  • Display a professional, positive, and enthusiastic demeanor to employees and customers.
  • Escalate and communicate any customer well-being issues.
  • Escalate or refer issues beyond the scope of training and duties.
  • Some translation work required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Spanish / English written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong computer and internet experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Experience working with confidential customer account information.
  • Strong motivation and high level of commitment.
  • Comfort with using telephony related hardware and software.

  • 1 year or more of call center experience.

Flash Developer
  • Lead the development of Flash-based entertainment applications and content.
  • Responsible for idea generation, planning, technical direction, quality assurance and development completion of our Flash-based applications.
  • Contributing to the strategy and product planning of Konami Digital Entertainment products.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of software development experience. Knowledge of the entire software development cycle is highly desired.
  • Strong development experience using Flash in web applications, games and other online products.
  • Flash development expertise in Actionscript 3.0, CPU/Memory optimization, JavaScript, Flash bridging, cross-browser compatibility.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with HTML, C++, CSS, DHTML, PHP and AJAX.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash CS5, FLEX and 3D Studio Max.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
    Strong passion for consumer Internet services. Need to be familiar with the latest trends in Flash-based entertainment applications.
  • Strong experience developing successful online products or services is highly desired.
  • Have experience building XML sockets in flash for online services is desired.

J2ME/BREW Programmer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop games and applications in both J2ME and BREW
  • Develop tools to support development
  • Be able to support in porting and full re-write efforts
  • Be able to write clear technical design and specification documents
  • Maintain the project code base including version control

Quality Assurance Tester

Konami Digital Entertainment is currently looking for "QA Testers" based in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Basic Function

Perform day to day analysis of games throughout the development cycle in accordance with test plans, procedures and test cases. Including report anomalies and provide root cause analysis of defects when possible with detailed descriptions of procedures to duplicate failures.

STATUS: Temporary Employment
WORK FREQUENCY: 40 hrs/week; weekends & overtime may be requested
AVAILABLE SHIFT: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday
LOCATION: El Segundo, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Find and log defects with clear and concise description and reproduction steps
  • Interface with Development on as needed bases
  • Perform testing from scripted test cases and as directed by management staff
  • Review product documentation for accuracy, clarity, consistency, completeness and compliance
  • Assist in maintaining test environments
  • Analyze and review discrepancies resulting from executed test
  • Perform extensive System, Function and Regression testing
  • Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow directions, remain focused and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work from 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday with the flexibility to change and work on a different
  • shift, overtime and weekends at times.
  • Familiarity with Windows, gaming console and handheld platforms.
  • Must be able to perform testing on games and other software to verify proper function, data content, performance,
  • usability/playability and hardware/software compatibility.

Senior Marketing Manager (Mobile and Social Networking)

This is a position that transcends the marketing mix - product, price, position and placement. In this highly visible position you will own the product lifecycle and will be the SME for pricing, research and cutting edge distribution models of interactive video gaming in the mobile and social networking space. The successful candidate will be the voice of the customer and will simultaneously drive the Konami message to our most valued distribution channels. You will work across business units with the console team, the mobile team, interactive design agencies and creative talent to transform cool ideas into usable, market-leading wireless game buying experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:  Focus on usability design and innovation; stay current on leading game design/ upsell practices and identify opportunities to incorporate where applicable.  Coordinate with production team members and design agencies in executing product design against established style guides and user experience models; review and evaluate UI and creative design, as well as manage the delivery of design artifacts. Capture customer feedback from various games platforms and establish roadmap for product enhancements.
  • PRODUCT PERFORMANCE:  Coordinate metrics measurement and assist in the vision for defining quantitative measures for product performance.   Identify product performance thresholds and drive the harvest / cultivate decision making process.
  • PRODUCT PRICING: Identify and set optimal pricing strategies with the goal of sales and margin optimization.
  • PUBLIC RELATIONS:  Engage with external agencies to gain industry speaking engagements and PR opportunities for company leadership.
  • STRATEGIC ANALYSIS:  Identify key content and mobile industry technology trends through the utilization and employment of internal and external metrics analysis.  Using your analysis execute industry leading customer acquisition strategies.
  • AGENCY MANAGEMENT:  Manage market analysis agency relationships.
  • WEBSITE MANAGEMENT:  Update and manage content on the Konami website.
  • MISCELLANEOUS:  Assist Sales and Executive team in the creation of compelling PowerPoint presentations to sell ideas and concepts both internally and externally.

Functional / Technical Skills:

  • A familiarity with marketing through various tier one social networks.
  • Knowledge of the cost of customer acquisition.
  • Experience with SMS campaigns and mobile marketing campaigns incorporating banner ads.
  • An understanding of emergent mobile operating systems (Android, iPhone, MS Mobile, and RIM), and an understanding of the tier one carrier value chain.
  • Strong understanding of various emergent video game business models (microtransactions, freemium, cross platform play, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Expert with Visio, Photoshop, and MS Project.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken form flawlessly.  Be comfortable presenting to senior level executives.
  • Ability to robustly support a business decision with empirical data.
  • A strategic thinker unafraid of executing tactically.
  • A strong team player capable and willing to work in an environment of openness and autonomy.

Education & Experience:

  • Must possess a combination of digital content and mobile industry experience (experience must be within the United States).
  • Top tier MBA with a minimum of three years experience in the Mobile Game Industry and one year in the Mobile Content Industry or a BA/BS and ten years related industry experience (mobile or online games or combination).
  • 3+ years experience managing the work of digital creative agencies.
  • 2+ years experience in digital content management or related field.
  • Preference given to those with Fortune 500 experience.
